Effective Date: 10th December 2026
1. While care will be taken to keep students comfortable and safe, The Language Arts Studio and all employees, facilitators, or independent contractors working on the premise will not be held accountable, legally or otherwise, for any unforeseen negative events occurring to the students.
2. All fees paid are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
3. Once having commenced sessions at The Language Arts Studio, students may not skip months. If a student is away for a month, a resting fee of RM30 will be charged per student per month.
4. If a student does not attend scheduled sessions for a month without prior arrangement with the Studio and payment of the resting fee, they will be considered to have withdrawn from enrolment, and their seat will be made available to other students.
5. More than 24 hours notice must be given in order for substitute sessions to be made. If less or no notice is given, the student will be marked as absent and no make up session will be scheduled.
6. If a student requires substitute sessions, no guarantee will be given that their usual facilitator will conduct substitute sessions. Another facilitator may provide support during substitute sessions.
7. No monetary or temporal compensation will be given for students’ tardiness at sessions.
8. The studio reserves the right for all facilitators and assistants to take maternity and paternity leave as well as medical leave. Sessions missed by regular facilitators will be substituted either by usual facilitators or by substitute facilitators. The decision to monetarily compensate clients for missed sessions lies solely with The Language Arts Studio, facilitators, and independent contractors.
9. All substitute sessions should be scheduled and attended within the calendar quarter of the original session date. Failing this, the substitute sessions will be forfeited.
10. If the student is a minor, notice for cancellation or change of session schedules must come directly from parents/guardians in writing via message or email. Notice for cancellations or changes of session schedules from minor students will not be accepted.
11. The Language Arts Studio takes no responsibility for reminding students/parents/guardians about scheduled sessions or for transportation to or from sessions.
12. While students are grouped in consultation with parents and/or guardians, final decision- making in this area lies with The Language Arts Studio.
13. Fees may only be paid in bundles of four (4) sessions a month. No deductions will be made for absences on the students’ part. If substitute sessions are necessary, they can be scheduled.
14. Bundles of four sessions may not be split between siblings or friends.
15. Any damages to the property of The Language Arts Studio or employees, facilitators, or independent contractors working on the premise will be billed to parents or guardians. This includes structural damages as well as damages to (or pilfering of) books, stationery, support apparatus, or personal items belonging to employees, facilitators, or independent contractors that students may incur.
16. Parents or guardians of students who are minors are responsible for dropping off and picking up students in a timely, manner. The Language Arts Studio and all employees, facilitators, and independent contractors are not responsible for supervising, entertaining, or providing additional instruction or support for minor students who arrive early or leave late.
17. The Language Arts Studio makes no guarantees or claims regarding academic performance of students, and takes no responsibility for the same.
